I experienced torture and assault during my time in prison as a British Political Prisoner, leading to a spinal cord injury.

I am writing to bring to your attention the harrowing ordeal that I endured during my time at HMP Wandsworth, where I suffered severe physical assault and torture resulting in a debilitating spinal cord injury.

Upon my arrival at HMP Wandsworth on November 30, 2021, I was designated as a high-risk British Political Prisoner and granted a single cell by the doctor. However, on December 1, 2021, despite this designation, two prison officers of Ibo descent insisted that I share a cell with another inmate. Upon my refusal, they violently assaulted me, causing significant damage to my spinal cord. Despite their actions, I was left alone in the single cell.

This brutality did not cease there. On January 17, 2022, I was again assaulted by six prison officers for refusing to share a cell, after which I was subjected to further torture and confinement in a segregation unit akin to a dungeon for over a month. It was only after enduring this ordeal that I was finally granted a single cell as a High-Risk detainee.

Regrettably, the violence persisted. On March 18, 2022, I was assaulted once more, this time by an Ibo senior prison officer who accused me of attacking his people. He and other officers proceeded to assault me without justification.

Throughout these incidents, I received no adequate medical treatment, further exacerbating my condition. It was only after my release from prison that I sought medical attention and was admitted to Charing Cross Hospital on April 3, 2024. The MRI scan revealed alarming findings, including a bulging disc at the L4-L5 level with central protrusion and a tear in the left subarticular zone, along with suspected impingement of the bilateral traversing nerve roots. As a result, I have been scheduled for neurosurgical intervention as an outpatient.

Today, at the Fracture Clinic of St. Mary's Hospital, I was advised to undergo endoscopic decompression through keyhole surgery to address the compression of nerves caused by the aforementioned injuries sustained during my unjust imprisonment. The procedure aims to alleviate the pressure on the affected nerves, providing relief from the debilitating symptoms I continue to endure.

It is crucial to emphasise that my incarceration was based on wrongful conviction, stemming from my political beliefs that criticised the actions of the Ibo and Fulani immigrants in Nigeria, whom I have accused on social media of being the proxies of the English Establishment in the suppression and subjugation of the Yoruba in Nigeria. The unjust treatment I received in prison underscores the urgent need for the Government of the Federation of Nigeria to bring me and my children back home to Yorubaland before the MI5 and MI6 in England harm us.

You will find the results of my MRI scan attached, which serve as compelling evidence of the injuries I sustained in prison.
